In the syndicated loans segment, NBE successfully arranged and managed 19 major deals during the first half of the year. These syndicated agreements totaled EGP 169 billion, with NBE contributing EGP 60 billion as its own share.

Soha El-Turky, Deputy CEO of NBE, attributed this strong performance to the bank’s expansive capital base and deep-rooted relationships with local, regional, and international financial institutions, which trust NBE's capacity to manage large-scale transactions professionally.

NBE CEO Mohamed El-Etreby emphasized that the bank's lending strategy is heavily aligned with national development objectives. By targeting high-impact sectors—including transportation, healthcare, education, ICT, petrochemicals, real estate, and environmental services like waste management—the bank aims to localize manufacturing, create jobs, and reduce import dependency. El-Etreby noted that funding these key industries is critical to improving Egypt's trade balance and maximizing foreign currency inflows.
