Felix Feng, President of Huawei Cloud North Africa, announced the company’s ambitious vision to reshape the region’s technology landscape through a secure and intelligent cloud that empowers African nations to achieve digital sovereignty and accelerate transformation.
Speaking during a roundtable held on the sidelines of the Huawei Cloud North Africa Summit 2025, Feng emphasized that Huawei is committed to developing locally tailored technologies that align with the unique needs of each market.
> “Cloud computing is now deployed in over 20 countries across the continent, and Egypt plays a pivotal role as a regional hub for digital transformation,” Feng noted.
He added:
> “We believe digital transformation is no longer optional—it is essential. Huawei Cloud is enabling governments and enterprises to embrace AI, big data, and advanced analytics within a secure and privacy-respecting environment that fosters innovation.”
The Huawei Cloud North Africa Summit is one of the company’s key regional events, bringing together industry leaders, technology experts, and policymakers to foster long-term digital partnerships and support Africa’s readiness for the Fourth Industrial Revolution.
