Domino's has launched a robot dog to deliver pizza to beachgoers and deter seagulls

The Domidog, a "world-first" high-tech robot dog, was created by the takeaway company to tackle the problem of seagulls stealing slices from unsuspecting Domino's customers.

The robot is said to be "specially customised" to deliver pizza on any terrain, including sand and pebbles.

It is currently being trialled in Eastbourne.

It uses onboard sensors, stereo cameras and advanced localisation technology, as well as 360° perception to avoid obstacles.
