VALU Secures EGP 945.8 Million in 23rd Securitization Bond Deal
VALU Raises EGP 945.8 Million Through 23rd Securitization Transaction
VALU has completed its latest securitization transaction, issuing bonds worth EGP 945.8 million as part of the company’s ongoing efforts to diversify its funding sources and support future growth.
The transaction marks VALU’s 23rd securitization bond issuance and the fourth transaction under its eighth securitization bond program, which has a total value of EGP 10 billion.
The issuance is backed by a receivables portfolio transferred to EFG for Securitization, which served as the special purpose vehicle for the transaction. The offering consists of a single tranche with a 13-month maturity and carries an AA- credit rating.
Karim Riyad, CFO of VALU, described the transaction as an important step in the company’s continued expansion, highlighting its financial position, balance sheet strength and operating performance.
Riyad also pointed to sustained investor demand as a sign of confidence in VALU, noting that the company continues to use financing solutions to support sustainable growth and strengthen its presence in the fintech sector.
For EFG Hermes, the transaction represents another stage in its partnership with VALU. Mai Hamdy, Executive Director of Debt Markets, Promotion & Underwriting at EFG Hermes, said the deal reflects the quality of VALU’s portfolio and its financial strength, alongside continued institutional interest in its financing activities.
EFG Hermes handled the transaction as sole financial advisor, sole issue manager, bookrunner, underwriter and arranger.
Matouk Bassiouny & Hennawy provided legal counsel, while Baker Tilly served as the auditor.
VALU said the latest issuance supports its broader securitization strategy, which aims to provide financing for expansion, diversify funding channels and further develop its cooperation with EFG Hermes in the debt markets.
