ITIDA Opens Applications for Innovation Bridge Program Connecting Egyptian Startups with Japan

The Information Technology Industry Development Agency (ITIDA) has opened applications for the “Innovation Bridge: Egypt × Japan” program, a six-month initiative organized in partnership with the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA).

The program aims to connect Egyptian startups with leading Japanese companies to develop and validate technology solutions through real-world Proof-of-Concept (PoC) projects designed to address specific business needs.

Selected startups will have the opportunity to work directly with Japanese corporations, access ITIDA’s ecosystem support, and conduct real-world PoC projects over approximately six months. The initiative also aims to create opportunities for international partnerships and support startups seeking to expand into new markets.

The program covers seven collaboration areas, including digital traceability for e-scrap recycling, AI-powered production planning, and data-driven marketing solutions for pharmacies.

It also focuses on digital channels to support the expansion of commercial fleet insurance, digital solutions for expanding SME insurance, positioning Egypt as a potential base for anime production, and developing traceability and fan-intelligence solutions for authorized intellectual property.

JICA funding may also be available for approved activities under the program, with payments linked to the achievement of predefined project milestones.

ITIDA has set October 17 as the deadline for applications.
