Gold Prices in Egypt Hold Steady as 21-Karat Gold Stays at EGP 6,270
Gold prices in Egypt remained stable during the morning trading session on Wednesday, September 23, 2026, following a decline of EGP 90 per gram for 21-karat gold during yesterday’s trading.
The price of 21-karat gold stood at around EGP 6,270 per gram, while 24-karat gold reached approximately EGP 7,152 per gram.
Meanwhile, 18-karat gold was priced at EGP 5,378 per gram, while 14-karat gold recorded around EGP 4,150 per gram. The gold pound remained stable at EGP 49,975.
Globally, markets are closely monitoring gold prices after the international ounce fell to around $4,315 during yesterday’s trading session, amid continued attention to movements in the US dollar, bond yields, and interest rate expectations.
Local gold prices are mainly influenced by changes in global gold prices, the US dollar exchange rate against the Egyptian pound, and domestic supply and demand levels.
