Google Asks Users to Submit Video Selfies for Identity Verification

Google is testing a new identity verification method that asks some users to record a short video selfie to confirm that they are the actual person behind an account.

The new process is designed to strengthen account security and help prevent identity impersonation and unauthorized access. As part of the verification procedure, selected users may be asked to provide a brief video showing their face.

The move highlights the growing use of facial verification technologies by major technology companies as an additional layer of security alongside traditional account protection methods.
