Egypt’s Minister of Communications and Information Technology, Eng. Raafat Hindi, attended the graduation ceremony of the third cohort of the “Superhero Academy,” a cybersecurity program for children and young people organized by the National Telecommunication Institute (NTI) in cooperation with the National Telecom Regulatory Authority (NTRA), represented by the Egyptian Computer Emergency Readiness Team (EG-CERT).

The latest edition of the academy graduated more than 6,000 trainees from different age groups and governorates across Egypt, with participation from several leading global and local companies specializing in cybersecurity and information technology.

The strong turnout for the third edition, both in terms of applications and geographic reach, highlights growing awareness among young people and their families of the importance of cybersecurity and the need to develop digital skills for the future.

The program also reflects ongoing efforts to promote a safer and more informed digital society by equipping younger generations with the knowledge and skills needed to use technology responsibly and contribute to Egypt’s digital transformation.

The graduation ceremony was held at Knowledge City in the New Administrative Capital and was broadcast live via video conference, connecting the main event with 17 NTI locations across different governorates.

This setup enabled graduates and their families outside the capital to participate in and follow the ceremony remotely, expanding access to the event across the country.

The third cohort of the Superhero Academy marks another step in efforts to build cybersecurity awareness among younger generations and develop a new pool of digitally skilled talent capable of supporting Egypt’s growing technology ecosystem.
