Axis Pay Targets Three Million Users as It Expands Digital Payments Business
Egyptian fintech company Axis Pay is aiming to triple its customer base to three million users as it accelerates the expansion of its digital payments ecosystem, building on a growing presence in Egypt's fast-evolving electronic payments market.
Speaking during a media roundtable, Jack Marco, Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Axis Pay, said the company currently serves one million customers and processes around 20 million transactions every month. He added that the company's digital wallet has captured approximately 10% of Egypt's electronic payments market, positioning Axis Pay among the country's leading fintech players.
Marco said the company plans to support its next phase of growth by expanding its physical footprint beyond its existing 25 branches across Egypt while continuing to invest in digital financial services.
The executive also highlighted the growth of Axis Business, the company's enterprise payments platform, which currently serves more than 250 businesses across multiple industries. The platform is designed to simplify large-scale disbursements and automate payments to beneficiaries through digital wallets, helping organizations improve operational efficiency while supporting Egypt's broader digital transformation agenda.
Axis Business enables companies to execute mass payments through a single online portal, allowing users to upload beneficiary data in one file before the platform automatically transfers funds to individual mobile wallets. The process reduces manual intervention, minimizes operational errors and significantly shortens payment processing times.
According to Marco, the company is focusing on sectors with high transaction volumes, including non-bank financial services, e-commerce, logistics, delivery services and other businesses that regularly distribute funds to customers, merchants, agents or field representatives.
As demand for digital financial services continues to grow across Egypt, Axis Pay plans to strengthen both its consumer and enterprise offerings while expanding its customer base and supporting businesses seeking more efficient, technology-driven payment solutions.
