NTI, NCW and ISACA Cairo Host AI-Era Data Protection Workshop in Giza

The National Telecommunication Institute (NTI), in cooperation with the National Council for Women (NCW) and the ISACA Cairo Chapter, will organize a workshop titled “Strengthening Security and Privacy in the Era of AI” on June 27 at the Creativa Innovation Hub in Giza.

The workshop forms part of national efforts to raise awareness of personal data protection, privacy, and digital security as the expanding use of digital platforms and applications creates increasingly complex challenges for data governance and information protection.

The event will bring together policymakers, legal specialists, technology experts, and cybersecurity professionals to examine how artificial intelligence is reshaping the digital security landscape.

Discussions will cover global trends, emerging cyber threats, and the regulatory and technical frameworks needed to build secure and trustworthy digital environments. The workshop will also focus on promoting the responsible use of emerging technologies and strengthening data protection at both institutional and individual levels.

Participants will explore the impact of AI and other emerging technologies on the labor market, with particular attention to the growing demand for skills in cybersecurity, privacy protection, data governance, and risk management.

The event will also showcase training and professional development opportunities offered by NTI, NCW, and the ISACA Cairo Chapter to help individuals develop the technical and regulatory capabilities required by the evolving digital economy.

The agenda includes a session titled “Overview of Data Privacy Law: Legal and Technical Perspectives,” which will examine the legal foundations of data protection alongside the technical measures required for effective implementation.

Another session, “Safeguarding Privacy: How AI Reshapes Security Skills,” will address the changing nature of cybersecurity roles and the competencies professionals need to manage AI-related privacy and security risks.

Organizers said the discussions are designed to encourage knowledge exchange and highlight leading international practices in privacy, cybersecurity, and digital risk management.

The workshop is open to individuals interested in cybersecurity, data protection, artificial intelligence, and digital transformation, offering participants access to insights from legal and technical experts working across the digital security sector.
