Venduo Connects 8,000 Fashion Brands With Egyptian Manufacturers as Transactions Hit EGP 40 Million
Egyptian fashion-tech startup Venduo has facilitated around EGP 40 million in transactions since launching its B2B manufacturing marketplace, as the company looks to use technology to connect a growing pool of fashion brands with Egypt’s manufacturing base and open new routes to regional markets.
Nearly half of that volume was generated in the first six months of 2026, when transactions approached EGP 20 million, indicating accelerating activity on a platform built around one of the fashion industry’s most persistent challenges: finding the right manufacturer for each product.
Venduo has so far attracted more than 8,000 fashion brands and designers alongside over 2,000 manufacturers, with its manufacturing network covering more than 30 specializations across apparel and fashion production.
The startup is now setting a significantly larger target. Co-founder and CEO Khaled Solouma said Venduo aims to expand its network to 100,000 manufacturers and brands within the next three years, as it seeks to build a larger digital infrastructure connecting fashion businesses with production capacity.
Turning Factory Discovery Into a Digital Process
At the heart of Venduo’s model is a relatively straightforward idea: moving the traditionally fragmented process of finding and contracting garment manufacturers onto a digital marketplace.
Brands and designers can use the platform to search manufacturers according to their production requirements, review their capabilities and communicate directly with potential production partners.
Instead of relying largely on personal networks, referrals or lengthy searches for suitable factories, brands can define their manufacturing criteria and identify producers capable of handling their requirements through a single platform.
For manufacturers, the model provides another channel for reaching potential customers and filling available production capacity.
Venduo does not charge brands to use the marketplace. Its business model instead relies on a fixed annual subscription paid by manufacturers, regardless of the number of orders they secure through the platform.
International Brands Now Account for 30% of the Platform
The platform is also beginning to develop an export dimension.
According to Solouma, international companies now represent around 30% of the brands using Venduo, with overseas businesses working with Egyptian manufacturers through the marketplace.
That could give the startup a role beyond simply digitizing domestic factory sourcing. By making Egyptian production capacity easier for international buyers to discover, compare and access, Venduo is effectively attempting to build a digital gateway between local factories and regional fashion markets.
The company says manufacturers available through its network have worked with international names including Zara, Massimo Dutti, Adidas, Mango, Nike, Pull&Bear, Bershka and DeFacto.
Venduo also monitors production requirements and manufacturing standards across its network, a particularly important element when local factories are competing for orders from brands accustomed to specific quality and compliance requirements.
Technology Meets Egypt’s Manufacturing Base
Venduo’s growth comes at a time when technology startups are increasingly looking beyond payments, e-commerce and consumer apps to digitize traditional industries.
Fashion manufacturing provides a particularly interesting opportunity because Egypt already has a significant textile and garment production base, while thousands of smaller designers and emerging brands need access to factories capable of producing at different volumes and specifications.
For smaller manufacturers, digital visibility can also create opportunities to reach customers they would otherwise struggle to access.
The company argues that bringing manufacturers onto a structured digital marketplace could additionally encourage businesses operating informally to become part of the formal economy as they seek to work with larger domestic and international clients.
A $1.56 Billion Market With Room to Grow
The opportunity is underpinned by the size of Egypt’s fashion market, estimated at approximately $1.56 billion, with projections pointing to a compound annual growth rate of around 8% through 2031.
For Venduo, however, the bigger opportunity may lie in becoming infrastructure for the industry rather than simply another fashion marketplace.
Its proposition does not revolve around selling finished clothes to consumers. Instead, it sits behind the brands themselves — connecting designers and businesses that need products manufactured with factories that have the capacity and specialization to make them.
With EGP 40 million in transactions, 8,000 brands and designers, more than 2,000 manufacturers and an increasingly international customer base, Venduo is betting that the next stage of digital transformation in Egypt’s fashion industry will happen not only at the online checkout, but much earlier in the chain — on the factory floor.
