Honor of Kings Rolls Out HOK Plus 2.0, Its Biggest Update of 2026

Tencent-backed Honor of Kings, the world’s most-played multiplayer online battle arena (MOBA) game, has launched HOK Plus 2.0, its most comprehensive content update of 2026, introducing new heroes, gameplay modes, quality-of-life enhancements, and extensive player rewards.

The update coincides with the second anniversary of the game's global launch and aims to further strengthen player engagement through expanded content and community-driven features.

“Honor of Kings is marking its second year since global launch, and our community has always been our greatest source of inspiration,” said Dean Huang, Game Producer for Honor of Kings. “This update reflects the passion and creativity of our players and reinforces our commitment to delivering immersive entertainment experiences to gamers around the world.”

New Hero Debuts Alongside Arena of Valor Favorites

At the center of HOK Plus 2.0 is the introduction of Devara, a new Clash Lane hero inspired by traditional Indian culture. Designed as a burst fighter with strong sustained damage capabilities, Devara joins the game's growing roster and is available for 13,888 gold coins or 588 tokens, with a 50% discount during the first week following release.

The update also brings three well-known heroes from Arena of Valor (AoV) into the matchmaking lineup: support hero Annette, mage Lorion, and fighter Florentino, giving players additional strategic options on the battlefield.

New Economy System Rewards Active Players

Honor of Kings has also introduced Grand Venture, a player-driven economy system designed to reward engagement and create new opportunities for players to earn exclusive content.

The system allows players to obtain items through in-game activities, trade them via the Consignment Shop, earn exchange tokens through successful transactions, and redeem those tokens for premium rewards.

Major Gameplay and User Experience Improvements

Responding to community feedback, the development team implemented a wide range of quality-of-life improvements aimed at making the game more accessible and enhancing performance across devices.

The update reduces download sizes and redundant files, introduces chapter-based tutorials and clearer progression paths for newcomers, and improves controls, graphics, and overall system performance. Players will also benefit from upgrades to the lobby interface and a new personal gallery feature.

According to the developers, the changes are intended to ensure smooth gameplay regardless of whether players use entry-level or high-end devices.

Peak Day Celebrations Bring More Than 10,000 Tokens in Rewards

To celebrate Peak Day on June 27, Honor of Kings is launching a series of events running from June 17 through July 26.

Players will have access to collaboration events, daily login bonuses, limited-time token vouchers, free access to heroes and skins, and special events such as the Mega Red Packet Rain campaign.

On June 27 alone, players can receive rewards worth up to 4,000 token vouchers, while the total value of rewards available throughout the celebration period exceeds 10,000 token vouchers.

Creator Program Expands

Honor of Kings has also unveiled enhancements to its creator ecosystem through a revised incentive policy introduced by HOK Studio.

Creators will now compete within regional rankings instead of global rankings, increasing their chances of earning rewards. Top-performing creators can receive up to 20,000 additional tokens beyond monthly base incentives.

Meanwhile, the HOK Advanced Creator Program has been expanded worldwide, offering selected creators dedicated support, monthly rewards, and invitations to exclusive offline events.

Super Flow Brawl 2.0 Brings New Strategic Possibilities

Beginning June 27, players will gain access to Super Flow Brawl 2.0, a revamped game mode featuring new talent paths that can be freely combined to create unique strategies and adapt dynamically during battles.

The mode aims to showcase community creativity while giving players greater flexibility in customizing their combat styles.

Asian Games Qualifiers Underway

Honor of Kings also announced that the 2026 Asian Games Esports Qualifiers are being held in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, from June 13 to June 21.

Twenty national teams are competing for qualification spots to the esports competition at the 20th Asian Games in Nagoya, Japan, joining directly qualified nations China, Malaysia, and Thailand.

Developed by TiMi Studio Group, Honor of Kings surpassed 260 million monthly active users across its titles in 2025, making it one of the largest gaming franchises globally and a major force in the rapidly growing esports industry.
