CAISEC’26 to Launch Monday as Largest Arab-African Cybersecurity and Digital Sovereignty Summit

Egypt is preparing to host the fifth edition of CAISEC’26, the largest cybersecurity and digital sovereignty summit in Africa and the Arab world, amid growing geopolitical tensions and rising concerns over cross-border cyber threats targeting critical national infrastructure and digital systems.

Organized by Mercury Communications under the patronage of Egyptian Prime Minister Dr. Mostafa Madbouly, the summit will take place on June 8 and 9 with the support of 10 Egyptian ministries, major sovereign entities, international cybersecurity organizations, and representatives from 22 countries and 15 African cybersecurity authorities.

Held under the theme “Guarding the Future: Securing the Unpredictable,” the event is expected to become one of the region’s most significant cybersecurity gatherings, focusing on digital resilience, AI-driven threats, cyber sovereignty, and the future of national digital defense systems.

The summit will witness the participation of Egypt’s Minister of Communications and Information Technology Eng. Raafat Hindy, Minister of Health Dr. Khaled Abdel Ghaffar, Minister of Investment Dr. Mohamed Farid, Minister of Finance Ahmed Kouchouk, Minister of Petroleum Karim Badawi, Minister of Supply Sherif Farouk, alongside representatives from Egypt’s Ministry of Defense and the Central Bank of Egypt.

CAISEC’26 is also receiving support from several Egyptian government entities and strategic institutions, including the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology, Ministry of Finance, Ministry of Transport, Ministry of Health, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ministry of Industry, Ministry of Military Production, Ministry of Civil Aviation, Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, and the Ministry of Tourism and Antiquities.

The event is additionally backed by Egypt’s National Telecom Regulatory Authority (NTRA), the Financial Regulatory Authority (FRA), the Supreme Cybersecurity Council affiliated with the Cabinet, and the Egyptian Computer Emergency Readiness Team (EG-CERT).

One of the summit’s key highlights will be the first high-level roundtable bringing together representatives from 22 countries to discuss regional cyber cooperation and digital sovereignty strategies.

The conference is being organized in partnership with the Arab Information and Communication Technologies Organization (AICTO), affiliated with the League of Arab States, as well as the African Network of Cybersecurity Authorities (ANCA).

International participation will include representatives from major cybersecurity agencies and organizations, including Tunisia’s National Cybersecurity Agency (ANCS), Côte d'Ivoire’s National Cybersecurity Center (CNAC), Ghana’s National Cyber Security Centre (NC3), France’s National Cybersecurity Agency (ANSSI), alongside delegations from Congo, Niger, Chad, and the Democratic Republic of Congo.

Global cybersecurity organizations with active operations in Egypt are also participating, including CSA Egypt Chapter, ISACA Cairo Chapter, ACFE Egypt Chapter, and OWASP.

Osama Kamal, Chairman of Mercury Communications, said the summit has witnessed significant growth over recent years at the regional and international levels.

“CAISEC has evolved from a regional cybersecurity conference into a major Arab-African platform for digital cooperation and cyber resilience. This year’s edition reflects Egypt’s growing role as a regional cybersecurity hub at a time when strengthening digital defense capabilities has become a strategic necessity,” Kamal stated.

The event is expected to attract more than 5,000 participants, feature over 180 speakers, and host nearly 40 exhibitors representing leading global cybersecurity and technology companies.

This year’s discussions will focus heavily on artificial intelligence-driven cyber threats, digital identity protection, deepfake technologies, AI-powered security operations centers (SOC), API security, and the emerging challenges associated with Agentic AI systems capable of autonomous decision-making.

The agenda also includes live cybersecurity simulations, ethical hacking demonstrations, and specialized sessions examining governance frameworks, cybersecurity readiness, operational resilience, and the future of AI regulation.

CAISEC’26 will further spotlight the role of women in cybersecurity and the importance of building a more inclusive and diverse digital security ecosystem across the region.

The summit’s sponsor lineup includes Dell Technologies as Official Sponsor, Raya Information Technology and Cisco as Main Sponsors, Cyshield as Strategic Partner, Fortinet as Cybersecurity Partner, and eFinance Investment Group as Technology Partner.

Additional strategic partners and sponsors include Microsoft, Orange Business, IBM, Group-IB, CyberKnight, Palo Alto Networks, Kaspersky, Cloudflare, Akamai, Proofpoint, Qualys, OpenText, and several other global cybersecurity leaders.

Industry observers expect CAISEC’26 to play a major role in shaping regional discussions around cyber resilience, AI governance, digital sovereignty, and the future of cybersecurity collaboration across Africa and the Middle East.
