Speaking at the "Scaling Digital Finance in Egypt" forum, Ahmed Sobhi, Vice Managing Director for Investment and Finance at e-finance for Digital and Financial Investments, emphasized that a robust digital ecosystem relies on integrated infrastructure rather than isolated platforms. Sobhi highlighted Cloud Computing and software-based cloud environments as critical enablers for a secure, unified space where data can be exchanged under standardized protocols.

According to Sobhi, the "Winner-Takes-All" model is unsuitable for the Egyptian market. Instead, he advocates for an inclusive ecosystem where firms like e-finance act as "aggregators" or "enablers," providing scalable solutions that other players—especially SMEs—can utilize to reduce operational complexity. By fostering a collaborative environment, Egypt aims to mirror successful global models, such as India’s diverse digital landscape, where multiple stakeholders thrive through shared value chains and seamless data interoperability.
