NTRA Report Highlights Diverging Mobile Network Performance in Egypt for December 2025
The National Telecom Regulatory Authority (NTRA) has reported uneven performance among Egypt’s mobile operators in its latest assessment of service quality for December 2025, particularly across voice and data services.
The report indicates a relative improvement in voice service quality for some operators. Vodafone Egypt reduced the number of impacted areas to five from six, while Orange Egypt decreased its affected areas to seven from eight.
However, other operators showed declining performance. e& Egypt saw the number of affected areas rise to 11, up from nine, while WE experienced a sharper increase to 16 areas, compared to 11 previously.
In terms of data services, Vodafone Egypt posted strong gains, cutting affected areas to 23 from 33 and achieving an average download speed of 51 Mbps. Conversely, Orange Egypt recorded an increase in affected areas to eight, with speeds holding steady at 51 Mbps.
e& Egypt maintained stable performance at four affected areas, with download speeds reaching 57 Mbps. Meanwhile, WE reported a slight uptick in affected areas to three, alongside a decline in average download speeds to 83 Mbps, down from 85 Mbps in October.
