Samsung Egypt Strengthens Partnership with Life Makers Foundation to Support Vulnerable Families During Ramadan

Samsung Electronics Egypt has renewed its partnership with Life Makers Foundation (LMF) to support vulnerable families across Egypt during the holy month of Ramadan through several community initiatives.

As part of the collaboration, Samsung supported the distribution of more than 1,000 food cartons containing essential household supplies commonly needed by Egyptian families during Ramadan. In addition, the company is participating in the “Eish & Malh” initiative in cooperation with Life Makers Foundation Egypt and in coordination with the Ministry of Social Solidarity, aiming to distribute more than four million hot meals by the end of the month. The initiative seeks to ensure that support reaches the largest possible number of beneficiaries while reinforcing the spirit of solidarity and social cohesion within Egyptian society during the holy month.

This initiative reflects Samsung’s vision of creating a dual impact—reaching families in need across various Egyptian governorates and providing nutritious meals during Ramadan, while also promoting a culture of volunteerism among company employees. Samsung employees will have the opportunity to participate in packing food cartons and preparing nutritious meals served on specially designed plates carrying humanitarian messages that promote solidarity and community engagement.

Life Makers Foundation will collect these meals from employees at convenient times, prepare them, and distribute them to beneficiaries, further strengthening values of giving and social responsibility.

Ahmed Gaafar, Chief Marketing and E-Commerce Officer at Samsung Electronics Egypt, commented:
“At Samsung, we constantly strive to go beyond the boundaries of technology in all our initiatives, while ensuring that our corporate social responsibility strategy aligns with the priorities and needs of the community. We work closely with civil society organizations and government entities to strengthen the development triangle and create a real impact in people’s lives while improving their daily conditions.”

He added that this initiative builds on a long-term strategic partnership between Samsung Electronics Egypt and Life Makers Foundation, reflecting successful collaboration previously implemented through the Samsung Innovation Campus program and reinforcing both parties’ commitment to creating sustainable community impact and expanding cooperation to support the Sustainable Development Goals.

For his part, Engineer Ahmed Moussa, CEO of Life Makers Foundation Egypt, praised the successful partnership with Samsung Electronics Egypt within the “Eish & Malh” initiative, implemented in coordination with the Ministry of Social Solidarity.

He noted that the partnership aims to distribute more than four million hot meals by the end of Ramadan, ensuring that assistance reaches the largest number of eligible beneficiaries and strengthening the spirit of solidarity and cooperation across Egyptian society during the holy month.
