inDrive Turns Rides and Ramadan Song Views into Donations to Provide 5,000 Food Boxes in Partnership with Misr El Kheir
inDrive, the leading smart mobility company in Egypt, announced the renewal of its partnership with Misr El Kheir Foundation for the second consecutive year through the launch of its Ramadan 2026 initiative. The announcement was made during a journalists’ suhoor event attended by representatives from the Ministry of Social Solidarity, the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology, and the Ministry of Finance.
The collaboration aims to increase donation volumes and achieve a tangible, sustainable social and economic impact for underprivileged communities across Egypt, leveraging technology to support community development and improve quality of life.
This year, inDrive adopts a new approach by expanding the campaign beyond its app users to reach a wider Egyptian audience. As part of the initiative, the company produced an animated Ramadan music video for the classic song “Wahawy Ya Wahawy”, featuring rising artist Donia Wael alongside El Waili, highlighting the role of art and technology in promoting social good.
Each view of the song on YouTube, in addition to every completed inDrive trip during Ramadan, is converted into a monetary contribution. The proceeds will support community education by distributing 5,000 Ramadan food boxes to 5,000 students across 10 governorates, alongside 5,000 Eid clothing vouchers to coincide with Eid Al-Fitr celebrations.
Alaa Shalaby, Country Manager of inDrive Egypt, stated that the initiative reflects the company’s core values of creating sustainable social and economic impact and supporting students in their pursuit of better educational opportunities.
