Following Trump’s Data Center Cost Statements, Power Valley Confirms Readiness to Support Egypt with Smart Energy Solutions

Following recent statements by U.S. President Donald Trump regarding plans to require data center companies to fully bear construction and operational costs—including electricity and water consumption, as well as grid resilience support—global concerns are rising over increasing operational burdens on the sector amid surging demand for digital infrastructure.

These concerns were reinforced by remarks from Peter Navarro, the U.S. President’s trade and manufacturing advisor, who indicated that future measures may compel companies of all sizes to absorb the full costs associated with energy and water usage and their impact on power grids. This signals a tightening regulatory approach toward the consumption of critical resources.

Against this backdrop, Power Valley, the Egyptian company specializing in power quality monitoring and smart electrical infrastructure, announced its official entry into Egypt’s data center market through a suite of integrated smart solutions. The company confirmed its readiness to support the sector by enhancing operational efficiency, optimizing energy consumption, and strengthening the sustainability of digital infrastructure.

Power Valley explained that its expansion includes new investments in UPS systems and Data Center Infrastructure Management (DCIM) solutions, in line with the growing demand for highly reliable data centers capable of handling mounting operational pressures. The solutions target small and medium-sized enterprises, large institutions, and data center operators through the design and deployment of integrated systems for monitoring critical assets and components.

The company offers a comprehensive monitoring ecosystem that delivers real-time data visualization and instant alerts for variables affecting data center performance and efficiency, including facility consumption, main and distribution electrical panels, UPS efficiency, busway systems, power banks, and the status and capacity of data cabinets.

Power Valley also unveiled new versions of its INSPECTOR smart platform, operating 24/7 to monitor power quality, thermal performance, environmental indicators, and air quality. The platform supports predictive maintenance, preventive servicing, and reduced unplanned downtime. The company noted that INSPECTOR is fully designed, developed, and manufactured in Egypt, aligning with its strategy to become a local producer of core technology combining hardware, software, and cloud integration.

Engineer Mostafa El Wakeel, Chairman of Power Valley, stated that entering the data center sector represents a strategic step aligned with the rapid growth of the digital economy. He emphasized the company’s ambition to deliver locally manufactured smart power and monitoring solutions that can compete regionally and internationally, contributing to a more efficient and sustainable digital infrastructure in Egypt.

This move comes as the global data center industry reassesses cost and sustainability models, underscoring the growing importance of technologies that enhance energy efficiency and operational reliability amid evolving regulatory and economic challenges.
