January 2026 – Ahli Faros, the investment banking arm of National Bank of Egypt Group, has been awarded the Global Economics Awards for the Most Innovative Sukuk Structuring Platform, recognizing its pioneering role in Egypt’s Sukuk market in 2025.

The award follows the successful execution of four innovative Sukuk issuances tailored to meet diverse client needs, totaling EGP 14 billion. These achievements highlight Ahli Faros’ leadership in Egypt’s debt markets, where the company led the market in 2025 through creative financing structures including Mudarabah and Musharakah Sukuks, as well as the Middle East’s first Mudarabah Sukuk incorporating Istisna elements, used to finance under-construction real estate portfolios.
