MCIT: 7,262 Graduates from “AI Ambassadors” Initiative, 487 Accepted into Digilians Programs in 2025

Egypt’s Ministry of Communications and Information Technology (MCIT) announced that the National Telecommunication Institute (NTI) continued throughout 2025 to implement a wide range of specialized academic and industry-oriented initiatives, reinforcing its role as a key national institution for building advanced digital skills and aligning scientific research with real market needs.

According to the ministry, the Digilians Initiative successfully admitted 487 trainees during the year. Of these, 254 participants were enrolled in professional diploma programs designed to provide direct, job-ready qualifications, while 233 trainees joined industry-based master’s level training programs. These programs focus on deepening applied and research-oriented expertise within real technology work environments, in partnership with the private sector, across fields including telecommunications and network technologies, information security, systems design, and digital industry applications.

Within the same framework, the ministry highlighted the continued societal impact of the AI Ambassadors Program, which recorded 7,262 graduates in 2025. Participants received intensive awareness-based and knowledge-focused training centered on the responsible use of artificial intelligence, data ethics, and safe AI applications in digital services. The program forms part of MCIT’s broader strategy to build a digitally aware society capable of understanding, engaging with, and shaping emerging technologies, rather than merely consuming them.

The statement also noted a major institutional milestone achieved by NTI, namely the international accreditation of six equivalent diploma specializations. These cover telecommunications networks, technology infrastructure, cybersecurity, embedded systems, artificial intelligence and data science, as well as AI-driven software development. This accreditation enhances the academic value of NTI certifications and provides graduates with internationally recognized credentials that strengthen their competitiveness in regional and global labor markets.

Beyond technical training tracks, the ministry emphasized that NTI continued to play an active academic role in postgraduate and specialized diploma programs. During 2025, 72 learners enrolled in postgraduate studies and advanced diplomas across high-level technical disciplines, where academic curricula are integrated with industrial training, hands-on experimentation, and graduation projects addressing real-world challenges faced by both the private sector and government entities.

MCIT stressed that these initiatives are integral to its strategic direction to empower youth, researchers, and government professionals with next-generation skills in telecommunications, artificial intelligence, and digital systems. This approach supports technology localization, enhances digital readiness, and strengthens the global competitiveness of Egyptian human capital, positioning the National Telecommunication Institute as a comprehensive national platform that brings together education, research, industrial qualification, and digital awareness in a single ecosystem.
