Egypt’s Foreign Currency Reserves Rise to $51.45 Billion by December 2025
Cairo, Egypt – The Central Bank of Egypt (CBE) announced that the country’s net foreign currency reserves increased by $1.2 billion in December 2025, marking a 2.4% rise compared to the previous month.
The reserves reached approximately $51.451 billion at the end of December, up from $50.215 billion in November.
The CBE highlighted that this growth reflects an improvement in foreign currency inflows, strengthening Egypt’s ability to meet international obligations and supporting the stability of the Egyptian pound exchange rate.
