OPPO concludes its World Photography Competition 2025 with a landmark exhibition held for the first time in Egypt
OPPO, the world's leading technology brand, announced the conclusion of its global competition, the OPPO Photography Awards 2025, during a major final event held for the first time in Egypt. The upcoming event marks the conclusion of the third season of the OPPO Photography Awards 2025, a global mobile photography competition that celebrates the art of visual storytelling captured with OPPO smartphones.
At OPPO, imaging techniques are a key focus of technological innovation, aiming to enable deep emotional expression, documenting cultures, and crafting stories in an impactful visual style. With advanced camera innovations such as advanced artificial intelligence algorithms, telephoto cameras, and improved night and portrait modes, OPPO phones allow creators to transform their creative visions into captivating works of the highest definition and accuracy. This reflects OPPO's continued commitment to innovation with the global success of the OPPO Photography Awards, which in its third edition attracted the wide and enthusiastic participation of photographers from around the world. Hosting the finals in Egypt highlights the country's rich cultural heritage, seamlessly in line with OPPO's mission to celebrate creativity and visual expression and empower creators to make their own moments.
Under the slogan - Super Every Moment, the awards ceremony and exhibition will be held from 18 to 20 December 2025, where a collection of the most prominent winning photos from around the world will be displayed. This event embodies OPPO's commitment to supporting creative expression, promoting investment in culture, and empowering individuals to turn their everyday moments into exceptional visual stories.
The exhibition will be launched with a press conference on December 18 with the participation of a group of local and international speakers, to present their insights into the competition's progress, development and impact on the global photography community. On December 19 and 20, attendees will have a lively programme of activities, including interactive workshops, photography tours, and innovative art installations, designed to inspire and promote the creativity of photographers at all levels.
Since its launch this year, the competition has received participations in eight diverse categories: an exceptional spontaneous moment, an exceptional youth moment, an exceptional living moment, an exceptional moment of communication, an exceptional portrait moment, an exceptional moment of joy, a moment of an exceptional story, and an exceptional moment of place, which gave participants the opportunity to turn everyday scenes into amazing works of art. The competition offers valuable cash prizes exceeding USD 125,000, including the prestigious gold prize, silver and bronze prizes, in addition to a number of different special prizes.
In Egypt, the OPPO Photography Awards have contributed to highlighting the rich cultural diversity and growing creative scene in the country. Based on the success of previous initiatives such as “Imagine IF Photography”, which came in partnership with the Ministry of Tourism and Antiquities to celebrate Egypt's heritage and archaeological treasures, this year's event reinforces OPPO's commitment to supporting the Egyptian artistic community. Over the past two years, the competition has attracted more than 20,000 entries, along with 17 workshops and photo tours, reflecting OPPO's role in empowering local talent and expanding its creative presence.
