Digital Planets Becomes SonicWall Gold Partner to Deliver Advanced Cyber Defense in the Middle East

SonicWall, a global leader in managed cybersecurity solutions, and Digital Planets — a subsidiary of DP Group specializing in integrated digital services — announced the signing of a strategic partnership agreement aimed at enhancing digital defense capabilities across Middle Eastern markets.

Under the agreement, Digital Planets becomes a SonicWall Gold Partner, authorized to deliver advanced cybersecurity solutions in the UAE, Saudi Arabia, and Egypt. The partnership was formalized during GITEX Global 2025, held at the Dubai World Trade Centre — the world’s largest technology exhibition, featuring more than 6,800 tech companies and highlighting innovation in AI and biotechnology as part of the global digital economy transformation.

Rising Cyber Threats Across the Region

This collaboration comes at a critical time as the cybersecurity landscape in the region witnesses unprecedented growth amid accelerated digitalization and increasingly complex threats.
Egypt alone recorded over 20,000 cyberattacks in the first half of 2025, targeting telecommunications and critical infrastructure sectors. Globally, cybercrime damages are projected to cost USD 10.5 trillion annually this year, while the Middle East and Africa cybersecurity market is expected to become the second-largest globally, growing at a compound annual rate of 16.2% in the coming years.

Expanding Capabilities Through SonicWall’s SecureFirst Partner Program

Through this partnership, Digital Planets officially joins SonicWall’s SecureFirst Partner Program, enhancing its portfolio of security offerings and giving clients access to award-winning cybersecurity solutions for advanced protection, intelligent monitoring, and predictive threat defense.

Dr. Ahmed Hanafy, Founder and CEO of DP Group, said:

> “Our partnership with SonicWall marks a strategic milestone aligned with our vision to enable secure digital transformation for clients across the region. Signing this agreement at GITEX Global underscores the convergence of innovation and real-world challenges — with cybersecurity remaining a top priority for enterprises today.

Integrating SonicWall’s advanced technologies with our regional expertise allows us to deliver comprehensive and resilient cybersecurity solutions to safeguard critical digital assets in Egypt, the UAE, and Saudi Arabia.”

Eng. Mohamed Abdallah, Regional Director for the Middle East, Turkey, and Africa (META) at SonicWall, commented:

> “This partnership reflects SonicWall’s ongoing commitment to empowering regional partners with state-of-the-art security technologies. Digital Planets has a customer-centric approach that aligns perfectly with our partner-first philosophy.

Our shared goal is to enable secure digital transformation and support organizations of all sizes in their journey to cloud and hybrid environments — particularly as AI-driven threats take center stage at this year’s GITEX Global.”

The Middle East Remains a Prime Target

Recent statistics show that the Middle East and Africa ranked third globally in the number of cyberattacks in 2024, with an increasing number of state-backed threats targeting GCC countries and Egypt. This partnership between SonicWall and Digital Planets represents a significant step forward in reinforcing the region’s digital resilience.
