Google’s Gemini Live Gets Smarter with Visual Guidance and Natural Speech

Google has unveiled significant upgrades to its Gemini Live AI assistant. The standout addition is visual guidance, allowing users to point their phone’s camera at objects while Gemini highlights exactly what it’s referring to—making everyday tasks like finding tools much easier. This feature will debut on the Pixel 10 starting August 28, before expanding to other Android devices and eventually iOS.
In addition, Gemini Live now integrates more deeply with core apps such as Messages, Phone, and Clock, enabling smoother multitasking like sending texts or setting reminders during conversations. A new speech model also brings more natural, expressive interactions, with improvements in tone, rhythm, and pace, as well as customizable speaking styles.
With these updates, Gemini Live becomes a more intuitive, interactive, and human-like assistant, bridging the gap between AI and everyday life.
