Vodafone Egypt Revises Vodafone Cash Fees and Sets New Transfer Limits

Vodafone Egypt has officially announced major updates to the fee structure and transaction limits of its flagship mobile wallet service, Vodafone Cash, in a move aimed at enhancing user experience and regulating financial transactions. The changes affect thousands of customers who rely on the service for daily money transfers, bill payments, and online shopping.

Key Updates on Cash Withdrawal Fees

Under the new system, cash withdrawal fees from Vodafone Cash are now fixed at EGP 5 per transaction for customers whose total monthly withdrawals do not exceed EGP 5,000. For amounts beyond this threshold, a 1% fee will be applied to the excess value. This replaces the previous model, which charged 1% of the entire withdrawn amount.

Money Transfer Fees

Transfers between Vodafone Cash wallets: Flat fee of EGP 1.

Transfers to other e-wallets: 0.5% of the amount, with a minimum of EGP 1 and a maximum of EGP 15.

First transfer each month (up to EGP 2,000): Free of charge.

Deposits into Vodafone Cash wallets via ATMs or Vodafone branches remain completely free.

New Transaction Limits

Vodafone has also set maximum limits for financial transactions to strengthen security and improve operations:

Daily transfer limit: EGP 60,000

Minimum transfer value: EGP 5

Monthly transfer limit: EGP 200,000

Maximum account balance: EGP 100,000

These adjustments are designed to give customers greater flexibility while ensuring safe and efficient use of digital financial services.

With Egypt witnessing rapid growth in digital payments and mobile wallet adoption, Vodafone Cash continues to play a pivotal role in the country’s financial inclusion and digital transformation strategy.
