NTRA Orders Compensation for Vodafone Egypt Customers Affected by Network Outage
Egypt’s National Telecommunications Regulatory Authority (NTRA) has directed Vodafone Egypt to compensate customers impacted by a network outage that occurred on Tuesday evening, disrupting mobile services for a number of users.
In its official statement, the NTRA said the decision comes as part of its commitment to minimizing the impact of service interruptions and upholding user rights across the telecom sector.
Under the compensation plan, affected prepaid users will receive 500 free units, while impacted postpaid customers will be granted 5 GB of free data, as a gesture to account for the service downtime.
The regulator stressed its continued monitoring of service quality and its coordination with mobile operators to ensure reliable service delivery and prevent the recurrence of such disruptions.
“The NTRA remains firmly committed to protecting users’ rights and ensuring that telecom providers meet the highest standards of performance and customer satisfaction,” the statement read
