The Egyptian African Telecom Regulatory Training Center (EG-ATRC), affiliated with the National Telecom Regulatory Authority (NTRA), is organizing a training course on licensing and type approval from May 12 to 15.

The course covers recent developments and best practices in licensing and type approval of telecommunications equipment, including the standards and procedures involved in the type approval process. It also addresses spectrum analysis methods. Additionally, the program explores the principles and regulations governing telecommunications services, provides an overview of key performance indicators in the Egyptian telecom market, and outlines the main features of Egypt’s regulatory framework for telecom service licensing.

EG-ATRC, the first center of its kind in Africa, is officially recognized by the International Telecommunication Union (ITU) as an ITU Academy Training Centre. It focuses on building the capacities of African telecom regulators and promoting the exchange of expertise in telecom regulation. The center’s training system draws on Egypt’s academic and professional knowledge to help regulators address sector challenges and contribute to the development of a strong digital economy.
