Galaxy Watch 8 hands-on: New base model, Classic bezel returns, Ultra gets a boost

We spent some time with Samsung's new smartwatches at Galaxy Unpacked 2025, and we're now ready to share our hands-on experience with all three models: the Galaxy Watch 8, the Galaxy Watch 8 Classic, and the Galaxy Watch Ultra refresh for 2025.
The rotating physical bezel has returned this year, and you can see it in action in our video below. Likewise, we show off the brand-new Galaxy Watch 8, which Samsung redesigned inside and out.
As for the Ultra, yep, it's much the same as last year's model, except it runs One UI Watch 8, has more storage, and comes in a new color.
All three new Samsung smartwatches share the Cushion Design and Dynamic Lug system that the original Galaxy Watch Ultra introduced last year.
These clever design features have a practical element, as they provide a more secure fit on the wrist and, in turn, enable a higher accuracy for fitness and health tracking. The new watches track better, even though they use the same BioActive sensor as last year's models.
In our Galaxy Watch 8 hands-on video below, we also show off some of the latest One UI 8 Watch features, including Vascular Load, Antioxidant Index, Running Coach, Bedtime Guidance, stackable widgets, app suggestions, and more.
