Etisalat Egypt is positioning financial technology and artificial intelligence at the center of its digital growth strategy, presenting an integrated services vision during its participation in Cairo ICT 2026.

The 30th edition of the Cairo International Technology Exhibition and Conference for the Middle East and Africa runs from November 7 to 10 under the theme "AI in Action", bringing together technology companies and financial sector players to explore emerging digital innovations.

Ahmed Yehia, CEO of Financial Technology at Etisalat Egypt, outlined the company's ambition to move toward a connected digital ecosystem that brings multiple customer services together in one experience, covering financial transactions, financing, savings, shopping, and customer rewards.

AI and Data Analytics Transform Financial Services

Artificial intelligence is increasingly influencing how financial services are designed and delivered, particularly through advanced data analysis, improved credit assessments, and more responsive financing models.

At Etisalat Egypt, AI and data analytics are being incorporated into alternative credit assessment solutions, helping evaluate customers through their financial and digital behavior.

Such capabilities can broaden access to financing for customers who may not have established traditional credit records, while supporting more informed decisions and improved risk assessment.

The growing adoption of these technologies highlights a shift toward using AI as a strategic component of financial innovation rather than simply an operational tool.

A Connected Portfolio of Digital Financial Solutions

Etisalat Egypt's digital ecosystem includes several platforms and services designed to complement one another.

Its portfolio features etisalat Money for digital financial transactions, Erada for financing services, SuperPay for payment solutions, and My etisalat as a customer-facing digital application.

The company is also expanding its focus across electronic payments, transfers, financing, savings, investment opportunities, and merchant payment services.

Strategic cooperation with banks and financial institutions remains central to this approach, enabling the integration of financial services with telecommunications infrastructure and digital capabilities.

Telecommunications Companies Expand Beyond Connectivity

The strategy reflects a wider shift in the telecommunications industry, where operators are increasingly competing through digital platforms and financial services rather than connectivity alone.

Etisalat Egypt aims to make its services more interconnected, giving customers access to a broader range of everyday transactions through a streamlined digital journey.

Its presence at Cairo ICT 2026 provides an opportunity to highlight this direction as artificial intelligence, digital payments, and financial inclusion become increasingly important to Egypt's evolving digital economy.
