200MP Camera Designed for True-to-Color Photography

The HUAWEI nova 16s Pro is built around a 200MP main camera featuring an RYYB Ultra-Large Sensor, alongside Front and Rear True-to-Color Cameras. The imaging system is supported by dual 1.5MP multispectral sensors on the front and rear, enabling scene-specific color calibration.

Meanwhile, the HUAWEI nova 16s comes with a 50MP Ultra Portrait Camera and a True-to-Color Camera setup.

Wave-Inspired Design for Everyday Adventures

The nova 16s Series draws its visual identity from coastlines, ocean waves and bright skies, following HUAWEI’s “Chase the Waves” design philosophy.

The nova 16s Pro features a frosted glass rear panel designed to provide a smooth, velvety feel while maintaining a premium appearance. The smartphone measures 7.1mm in thickness and weighs 218g, making it suitable for everyday use as well as activities such as beach trips, camping, campus outings and city travel.

Its colors and finishes are inspired by the natural textures of ocean ripples and the soft glow of the sky, giving the series a distinctive youthful aesthetic.

Accurate Imaging Across Challenging Lighting Conditions

The nova 16s Series is designed to address common smartphone photography challenges in changing natural lighting conditions, including strong midday sunlight, seaside backlighting, sunset scenes and mixed event lighting.

At the center of the nova 16s Pro’s camera system is its 200MP RYYB Ultra-Large Sensor, which is designed to increase natural light intake and preserve shadow details and highlights even under strong direct sunlight.

The dual 1.5MP multispectral sensors also help improve color accuracy by detecting changes in ambient color temperature and adjusting tones affected by different lighting conditions, including bright sunlight, cooler coastal environments and warm evening light.

The upgraded Front and Rear True-to-Color Cameras are designed to retain more natural colors and preserve the atmosphere of scenes, addressing common issues such as overexposed highlights and washed-out skin tones.

AI Tools Turn the Phone into a Portable Photo Studio

Beyond its camera hardware, the HUAWEI nova 16s Series includes an AI-powered creative suite designed for photography and social media content creation.

The built-in AI editing tools simplify post-production by allowing users to enhance raw images and turn them into polished, share-ready content with a single tap, reducing the need for complex third-party editing applications.

Built for Extended Daily Use

The nova 16s Pro combines durability features with a large battery designed for users who spend extended periods away from a power source.

The device features an aerospace-grade aluminium alloy mid-frame and Kunlun Glass with a nanocrystal coating, which HUAWEI says provides ten times better drop resistance and helps protect the phone against everyday bumps and scratches.

The smartphone also packs a 7,000mAh Super Battery to support extended trips, photography sessions and daily use. The battery is paired with 100W HUAWEI SuperCharge Turbo technology for faster power replenishment and reduced charging downtime.
