The National Telecommunication Institute (NTI), in partnership with Banque Misr, has launched the first round of its Backend Engineering Track at NTI’s premises in Nasr City, with representatives from Banque Misr attending the opening.

The training is being delivered under a cooperation protocol between the two institutions aimed at developing specialized programming skills and preparing qualified talent for the needs of Egypt’s banking sector.

Training Targets Backend Development and Cloud-Native Skills

The program is designed for software engineers and developers, computer science graduates, and engineers interested in microservices and cloud-native development.

Through the training, NTI and Banque Misr aim to strengthen participants’ digital capabilities while aligning their technical skills with the requirements of the banking industry. Outstanding graduates will also have the opportunity to pursue employment at Banque Misr.

More Than 2,400 Applicants Compete for the Program

The training attracted more than 2,400 applicants seeking to join the program.

Candidates went through several interviews and assessment stages, allowing NTI to identify participants whose skills and qualifications best match the program’s requirements and the positions it is designed to support.

210 Hours of Specialized Technical Training

The program runs for 210 hours over two months, covering a range of backend engineering technologies and development practices.

The curriculum includes Java and Kotlin, API design and security, SQL databases, as well as workflow automation using the Camunda platform.

These areas are designed to provide participants with technical capabilities relevant to modern software development and banking technology environments.

Supporting Digital Talent and Egypt’s Digital Transformation

The initiative is part of NTI’s broader efforts to strengthen cooperation with major national institutions and ensure that its training programs remain closely connected to actual labor-market requirements.

By preparing young professionals for opportunities in vital economic sectors, the program contributes to developing Egypt’s digital workforce and supports the country’s broader digital transformation objectives and Vision 2030.
