Most banking sector stocks listed on the Egyptian Exchange (EGX) recorded notable gains at the close of trading today, Sunday, led by Al Baraka Bank Egypt. This came amid limited variance, with only two stocks in the sector recording minor declines.

Top Gainers in the Banking Sector

Al Baraka Bank Egypt: Led the list with a 3.46% gain to close at EGP 23.91, with trading value reaching EGP 14.017 million across 594.65 thousand shares.

Crédit Agricole Egypt: Ranked second with a 2.88% rise to reach EGP 24.64, recording a trading value of EGP 7.728 million across 317.766 thousand shares.

Export Development Bank of Egypt (EBank): Climbed 2.23% to close at EGP 21.5, with a trading volume of 1.269 million shares valued at EGP 26.956 million.

Egyptian Gulf Bank (EGBANK): Rose by 1.34% to close at USD 0.529, through trades valued at USD 11.198 million across 405.63 thousand shares.

United Bank: Recorded a 1.27% increase to close at EGP 15.99, with trades valued at EGP 916.472 thousand across 57.107 thousand shares.

Modest Gains for Remaining Sector Banks

Suez Canal Bank: Rose by 0.94% to close at EGP 46.2, with a trading value of EGP 31.495 million across 682.838 thousand shares.

Housing & Development Bank (HDB): Gained 0.91% to reach EGP 111.95, with a trading value of EGP 16.042 million for 144.14 thousand shares.

Faisal Islamic Bank of Egypt (USD): Climbed 0.41% to close at USD 0.986, with trades valued at USD 2.691 million across 52.002 thousand shares.

Abu Dhabi Islamic Bank - Egypt (ADIB): Saw a slight gain of 0.16% to close at EGP 49.90, backed by a high trading value of EGP 77.188 million across 1.550 million shares.

QNB ALAHLI (QNB Egypt): Ended trading with a slight rise of 0.08% at EGP 59.3, with trades valued at EGP 21.444 million across 359.671 thousand shares.

Minor Declines for Two Stocks at Session Close

Commercial International Bank (CIB): Dropped by 0.55% to close at EGP 126.990, despite leading the sector in trading value at EGP 205.310 million across 1.606 million shares.

Faisal Islamic Bank of Egypt (EGP): Fell by 0.68% to reach EGP 45, with a trading value of EGP 3.049 million across 67.302 thousand shares.
