Egypt recorded strong export performance in chocolate and other preparations containing cocoa, in blocks, slabs or bars of ≤ 2 kg, filled, under HS Code 180631, in 2025, supported by notable growth in export value and volume over recent years.

Egypt’s exports of the product reached approximately USD 251 million in 2025, with an export volume of around 33 thousand tons. Egypt ranked 10th globally among exporters of the product, accounting for approximately 3% of global exports.

One of the key highlights of Egypt’s export performance is the rapid growth recorded over recent years. Between 2020 and 2025, export value achieved a CAGR of 38%, while export volume recorded a CAGR of 17% over the same period.

This growth accelerated significantly in 2025, with export value increasing by 64% compared with 2024.

Top Export Destinations

Egypt’s exports of the product are distributed across a range of Arab and international markets, with a notable concentration in Gulf markets.

Saudi Arabia was the leading destination for Egyptian exports in 2025, receiving exports worth USD 87 million, representing 35% of Egypt’s total exports of the product.

It was followed by:

• United Arab Emirates: USD 37 million (15%)

• Kuwait: USD 18 million (7%)
