Egypt Gold Prices Stabilize After Recent Decline, 24K at EGP 7,082
Gold prices in Egypt remained stable at the start of trading on Friday, September 25, 2026, following a decline in prices over the past several days.
The 24-karat gold price stood at EGP 7,082 per gram, while 21-karat gold, the most widely traded category in the local market, reached EGP 6,215 per gram.
Meanwhile, 18-karat gold was priced at around EGP 5,308 per gram, while 14-karat gold stood at approximately EGP 4,080 per gram.
The gold pound also remained unchanged at EGP 49,905.
The stability in local gold prices comes as markets monitor global gold movements, particularly developments in international bullion prices.
Several factors continue to influence gold prices in Egypt, including global ounce prices, the US dollar’s movement against the Egyptian pound, interest-rate expectations, bond yields, and local supply and demand.
Market participants are closely watching gold prices in the coming period to assess whether the precious metal can maintain its current levels following the recent decline.
