Egyptian Fintech Paymob Raises $35M Pre-Series C to Accelerate MENA Expansion
Egyptian digital payment infrastructure provider Paymob has secured $35 million in a Pre-Series C funding round, bringing its total capital raised to approximately $125 million. Co-led by the UAE’s Mubadala Investment Company and the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD), the capital injection will fuel the company's regional scaling across the MENA region, expand its payment acceptance network, and fund the rollout of new merchant products tailored for SMEs and emerging AI agent-based commerce.
Founded in 2015, Paymob provides an integrated financial infrastructure that supports over 60 payment methods through online gateways, traditional POS devices, smartphone POS solutions, and payment links.

The Pre-Series C round—which also saw participation from British International Investment (BII), Global Ventures, and DPI Ventures—follows a $72 million Series B cycle ($50 million in 2022 and a $22 million extension in 2024).
