Deloitte Innovation Hub Reinforces Its Commitment to Community Impact Through Year-Round Social Initiatives*
As Egypt's digital economy continues to expand and technology becomes an increasingly important driver of sustainable development, Deloitte Innovation Hub believes innovation creates its greatest value when it extends beyond business. Guided by Deloitte's purpose of making an impact that matters, Deloitte Innovation Hub strengthened its corporate responsibility agenda across Fiscal Year 2026 with initiatives spanning digital education, healthcare, environmental sustainability, and community wellbeing. Demonstrating a comprehensive approach to global sustainability, these initiatives directly contribute to achieving 11 of the 17 United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (UNSDGs). Through strategic partnerships and the dedication of 500+ employee volunteers, Deloitte Innovation Hub delivered 1600+ volunteering hours, creating lasting value for individuals, communities, and the environment.
Commenting on the initiatives, Hani Girgis, CEO & Managing Partner of Deloitte Innovation Hub, said: "Technology has the power to transform industries, but its greatest impact is realised when it also transforms lives. At Deloitte Innovation Hub, corporate responsibility is not separate from our business; it is embedded in how we innovate, collaborate, and lead. Every initiative we support reflects our belief that creating meaningful impact requires investing in people, strengthening communities, and building a more sustainable future. We are incredibly proud of our people, whose passion and commitment continue to turn our purpose into action and help us make an impact that matters for the communities we serve."
To drive this purposeful change, Deloitte Innovation Hub focused its Fiscal Year 2026 corporate responsibility efforts across four strategic pillars:
• Empowering Future Generations Through Digital Education: Investing in youth remained a cornerstone of the strategy. Through the Deloitte Middle East Cyber Heroes program, Deloitte Innovation Hub partnered with Metropolitan School to deliver age-appropriate cybersecurity awareness sessions. Led by employee volunteers, the program covered cyberbullying, online scams, artificial intelligence risks, digital wellbeing, password security, and responsible online behavior, equipping students with the practical skills to confidently navigate an increasingly connected world.
• Supporting Healthier and More Resilient Communities: The Deloitte Innovation Hub strengthened healthcare access and awareness through strategic partnerships and initiatives. In collaboration with the Medicine for All Foundation, employees supported the redistribution of unused medications to families in need while helping reduce pharmaceutical waste. During Breast Cancer Awareness Month, partnership with the Baheya Foundation enabled the delivery of educational sessions on breast cancer prevention and early detection, encouraging proactive healthcare, self-examination, and informed decision-making. Building on these efforts, our teams conducted a visit to Children's Cancer Hospital 57357, further reinforcing a culture of wellbeing and shared responsibility both within and beyond the workplace.
• Driving Environmental Sustainability and Stewardship: Demonstrating how collective action can create measurable environmental impact, Deloitte Innovation Hub partnered with Shagrha to plant 150 trees at a public school, creating greener learning environments while supporting broader climate action. Additionally, the team joined forces with VeryNile to remove waste from the Nile, participate in plastic upcycling activities, and engage in sustainability sessions promoting circular economy practices and responsible environmental stewardship. This commitment to environmental sustainability is also reflected in Deloitte Innovation Hub's office at Cairo Festival City, which was selected to support a more environmentally responsible workplace through sustainable and eco-friendly spaces.
• Fostering Community Engagement and Giving Back: Community connection remained equally important throughout the holy month of Ramadan. For the second consecutive year, the Deloitte Innovation Hub partnered with the "Share a Smile” Foundation - a community initiative officially founded in 2017 to bring joy to thousands of Egyptians and volunteers-, bringing employee volunteers together to prepare and distribute more than 4,000 meals to families in need. Beyond a volunteering initiative, the campaign reflected Deloitte Innovation Hub's core culture of compassion, collaboration, and giving back.
Developing Talent Through NextStep Mentorship Program: Deloitte Innovation Hub continues to invest in its people through NextStep, its employee-led mentorship program designed to foster learning, collaboration, and professional growth. Building on an initiative that has already supported more than 2,000 mentees through over 300 mentorship journeys, the program connects employees with Deloitte experienced professionals to share knowledge, navigate career milestones, and strengthen leadership capabilities. The inaugural July 2026 cohort marks the next chapter of this initiative, further reinforcing Deloitte Innovation Hub's commitment to nurturing talent and building a culture of continuous learning. Recently, NextStep also collaborated with UNICEF Egypt to further expand its impact by equipping young professionals with the technical expertise, practical experience, and confidence to build globally competitive careers from Egypt.
As Deloitte Innovation Hub continues to grow as a leading part of Deloitte's business, serving clients across Europe, the Middle East, and Africa from Cairo, it remains equally committed to creating positive impact within Egypt. Through purposeful partnerships, employee engagement, and initiatives aligned with national development priorities and the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, Deloitte Innovation Hub continues to demonstrate that innovation delivers its greatest value when it empowers people, strengthens communities, and contributes to a more sustainable future.
