Presidential Decree Appoints Mohamed Ahmed Ibrahim as Chairman of the Golden Triangle Economic Zone
Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi has issued a presidential decree appointing Mohamed Ahmed Mohamed Ibrahim as the Chairman of the Board of Directors of the General Authority for the Golden Triangle Economic Zone (GTEZ) for a one-year term, effective August 14, 2026.
The appointment follows Ibrahim’s tenure as Vice Chairman of the Authority since April 2026. During that period, he was instrumental in advancing key industrial and investment development files, strengthening communications with local and international business communities, and overseeing the zone's strategic planning.
Ibrahim brings over 20 years of extensive experience in economic diplomacy, international trade, and investment, having held numerous diplomatic and leadership positions within the Egyptian Commercial Service and the Ministry of Trade and Industry.
