Surge in Expat Remittances
In a related positive economic development, remittances from Egyptians working abroad witnessed a significant surge of 33.2% during the first 10 months of the current fiscal year (July/April 2025-2026).
According to recent data released by the Central Bank of Egypt (CBE), total remittances reached approximately $39.2 billion during this period, up from roughly $29.4 billion recorded during the corresponding period of the previous fiscal year (July/April 2024-2025).
