Food Export Council Participates in CIB Workshop to Boost Export Readiness of Egyptian Companies

The Food Export Council (FEC) participated in the "Export Readiness & Landscape Workshop," organized by the Commercial International Bank (CIB) at its Smart Village headquarters. The event, which brought together various entities and institutions supporting Egypt's export ecosystem, aimed to enhance the readiness of Egyptian companies seeking to expand their footprint in foreign markets.

During the workshop, the Council was represented by Heba Suhail, Director of International Exhibitions and Member Services, and Alaa El-Bairakdar, Representative of the Market Information Department. The delegates outlined the comprehensive export journey, mechanisms for evaluating corporate readiness, and the diverse services the Council offers to support aspiring and established exporters.

Strategic Preparation Before Exporting

The Council emphasized that a company's success in international markets begins long before the first export shipment is dispatched. This success requires a thorough assessment of production, administrative, financial, and marketing readiness, as well as ensuring that products fully comply with the stringent requirements of target markets.

Furthermore, the FEC showcased its wide array of support services. These include preparing in-depth market studies and research, organizing international exhibitions, trade missions, and bilateral (B2B) business meetings. The Council also highlighted its capacity-building programs and technical and consulting support, all designed to elevate the global competitiveness of Egyptian food and beverage manufacturers.
