ITIDA Organizes TIEC Talk on Future of HealthTech, Engaging Entrepreneurs, Experts
The Technology Innovation and Entrepreneurship Center (TIEC), part of the Information Technology Industry Development Agency (ITIDA), hosted a TIEC Talk on the future of HealthTech, on June 20 at Creativa Innovation Hub in Giza. The event was organized in collaboration with Saturday Startup of Digital Solutions Community (DSC), Cairo University, and Delta Youth Sanad (DYS) of the Ministry of Youth and Sports.
The session was part of a series of interactive events connecting students and graduates with entrepreneurs and technology experts. These events serve as a platform for sharing real-world experiences and discussing the key trends shaping the future of various sectors.
The talk explored the landscape of doctor appointment booking applications and digital health services. It also examined ways to harness technology to reshape the broader healthcare ecosystem through medical data analysis, accelerated diagnostics, enhanced clinical decision-making, and expanded access to healthcare services.
In addition, the session spotlighted the promising opportunities available to startups to develop technology-driven solutions capable of creating a tangible impact that directly improves people's lives and elevates the quality of healthcare delivery. It also showcased various approaches to addressing healthcare sector challenges through improving user experience, leveraging practical experiences and different perspectives, fostering open discussions, and engaging with the real challenges facing different sectors.
Discussed topics included building digital mental health platforms that people use, reimagining primary healthcare through digital transformation, and creating healthcare solutions that improve patient outcomes, along with the future, opportunities, and challenges of HealthTech in Egypt.
