Orange MEA and GIZ Empower 285 Youths in Circular Economy through ”Master Repair” Project

One year after its launch, the Master Repair project—a joint initiative by Orange Middle East & Africa and the German Agency for International Cooperation (GIZ)—is showing transformative results across Egypt, Morocco, Tunisia, and Senegal. Aimed at promoting the Circular Economy, the program has successfully trained 285 young men and women in electronic device repair, solar panel maintenance, and fiber optic installation. With an emphasis on social inclusion, women represent 26% of beneficiaries, while nearly a third of the participants are persons with disabilities.

The project, supported by the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development's develoPPP program, is now entering a new phase focused on direct employment and entrepreneurial support. Asma Ennaifer, Vice President of CSR and Communications at Orange MEA, emphasized that this strategic partnership is vital for building a resilient, inclusive economy. By providing market-ready skills, Master Repair is not just creating jobs but is establishing a sustainable career path for a new generation of "green-tech" professionals in 2026.
