Egypt’s EdVentures Crowned “Global Investor of the Year” at GSA 2026

 EdVentures, the pioneer EdTech-focused corporate venture capital (CVC) arm of Egypt’s Nahdet Misr Group, has made history by securing the “Global Investor of the Year” title at the Global Startup Awards (GSA) 2026. Announced during the EU-Startups Summit in Malta, this prestigious accolade follows a competitive journey where EdVentures previously swept the "MENA Investor of the Year" and "Africa Investor of the Year" titles.

Competing in an ecosystem that connects 154 countries, EdVentures emerged victorious among 70,000 applicants from 62 nations. The award underscores the fund’s transformative role in redefining human capital investment and lifelong learning. To date, EdVentures has supported 108 startups and invested in 29 companies operating across 25+ countries, collectively creating over 52,000 jobs and impacting tens of millions of learners globally.
