UAE Dominates Forbes Middle East’s 2026 Most Influential Real Estate Leaders List
For the third consecutive year, Forbes Middle East has unveiled its ranking of the region’s most impactful real estate leaders, highlighting the visionaries shaping the Middle East's urban future. The UAE continues to lead the sector with 47 entries, followed by Saudi Arabia (21) and Egypt (17). Topping the list for the second year is Hussain Sajwani, Founder of DAMAC Properties, whose strategic global alliances—most recently with Chelsea FC—have cemented DAMAC’s international footprint. He is followed by Mohamed Alabbar of Emaar Properties and Talal Al Dhiyebi of Aldar Properties, reinforcing the UAE’s position as a global real estate hub.
The 2026 list features 11 billionaires with a combined net worth of $39.4 billion, underscoring the sector's role as a primary wealth generator. The ranking also highlights the longevity and agility of the industry; Egypt’s Madinet Masr (est. 1959) stands as the oldest firm, while the UAE’s One Development (est. 2023) is the youngest. The upcoming "Under Construction: Building the Future" summit in Abu Dhabi this June will further explore the strategic shifts and sustainable trends defining the next decade of Middle Eastern real estate.
