Emirates NBD-Egypt Partners with ”Sehetna” to Boost Intensive Care Capacity in Upper Egypt
Emirates NBD-Egypt has signed a strategic partnership agreement with the Sehetna Foundation to fully equip an intensive care unit (ICU) at Assiut University Hospital. This initiative marks a significant milestone in supporting Egypt's healthcare infrastructure, targeting one of the country's most vital medical hubs. Assiut University Hospital serves as a regional lifeline, providing advanced medical services to over seven governorates, stretching from Beni Suef in the north to Aswan in the south.
The signing ceremony was attended by top executives, including Amr El Shafei, CEO and Managing Director of Emirates NBD-Egypt, and Amr Shaker, Chairman of the Board of Trustees at Sehetna. This collaboration aligns with the bank's CSR strategy, which prioritizes high-impact investments in vital sectors to enhance the quality of life for underserved communities. By upgrading the ICU, the bank aims to significantly improve critical care delivery for heart and emergency patients across the Upper Egypt region.
