Dubai Chambers and Confederation of Indian Industry Advance Joint Action Plan to Boost Trade and Investment
Dubai Chambers has announced progress in strengthening economic cooperation with the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII), following high-level discussions aimed at expanding bilateral trade and investment flows between Dubai and India.
According to an official statement, both sides agreed to develop a comprehensive joint action plan designed to broaden business partnerships across a range of priority and high-growth sectors. The meeting reviewed key frameworks and upcoming implementation mechanisms to accelerate trade and investment collaboration.
The discussions were attended by Mohammad Ali Rashed Lootah, Director General of Dubai Chambers, and Chandrajit Banerjee, Director General and CEO of the Confederation of Indian Industry.
Lootah emphasized that the long-standing economic ties between Dubai and India provide a strong foundation for unlocking new high-value opportunities across strategic sectors. He noted that enhancing private-sector collaboration will play a central role in driving mutual trade growth and expanding investment channels.
He added that Dubai Chambers remains committed to delivering integrated support to Indian companies, enabling them to fully leverage Dubai’s position as a leading global business hub and a strategic gateway for regional and international expansion. The organization continues to offer a comprehensive suite of services and solutions aimed at supporting investors and entrepreneurs in scaling their operations from Dubai.
The collaboration focuses on stimulating bilateral trade and investment, with particular emphasis on future-oriented sectors such as the digital economy, including fintech, medtech, healthtech, and agritech, in addition to education, agriculture, and food industries.
The partnership builds on a memorandum of understanding signed in April 2025, which established a framework to deepen economic ties and support joint growth. Under the agreement, Dubai Chambers provides strategic services to facilitate the entry and expansion of Indian businesses in Dubai, helping accelerate investment flows and strengthen commercial integration between the two markets.
