Egyptian Post Offices Serve 5.27 Million Pensioners in Q4 2025, Reflecting Continued Growth

The number of pension beneficiaries receiving payments through Egyptian post offices reached approximately 5.27 million during the period from October to December 2025, up from around 5.06 million during the same period in 2024, according to the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology’s quarterly bulletin.

Data revealed that the total value of pensions disbursed through post offices amounted to about EGP 19.2 billion in the final quarter of 2025, compared to EGP 16.65 billion in the same period of the previous year, highlighting a significant increase in financial transactions conducted via the postal network.

This growth reflects the continued reliance of a wide segment of citizens on Egyptian post offices to receive pensions and access government financial services, alongside the ongoing expansion of postal financial services and infrastructure nationwide.

The bulletin also indicated that the number of government post offices in Egypt increased to 4,686 by the end of Q4 2025, compared to 4,668 offices during the same period in 2024, marking an addition of 18 new offices as part of ongoing network expansion plans.

Average population served per post office reached around 23,875 citizens by the end of Q4 2025, compared to 23,315 during the same period in 2024, reflecting a 2.4% year-on-year growth.

The Egyptian National Post continues to enhance the infrastructure of postal offices and expand service offerings, particularly in digital financial services, pension disbursement, and government services, supporting national efforts to promote financial inclusion and accelerate digital transformation across the country.
