U.S. Dollar Rises Against Egyptian Pound Across Banks in Sunday Trading
The U.S. dollar recorded gains against the Egyptian pound in a large number of banks during Sunday’s trading session, with noticeable differences between the highest and lowest exchange rates across the banking sector, according to the latest data released by banks.
The highest dollar rate was recorded at MIDBANK, Kuwait Finance House Egypt, and QNB Egypt, where the currency was priced at EGP 52.15 for buying and EGP 52.25 for selling.
The same rate was also recorded at Next Bank and Abu Dhabi Islamic Bank Egypt, while Banque Misr listed the dollar at EGP 52.14 for buying and EGP 52.24 for selling.
At Commercial International Bank (CIB), the dollar was traded at EGP 52.12 for buying and EGP 52.22 for selling, while AlexBank and Crédit Agricole Egypt recorded EGP 52.10 for buying and EGP 52.20 for selling.
The currency also reached EGP 52.10 for buying and EGP 52.20 for selling at The United Bank Egypt. Meanwhile, it was priced at EGP 52.05 for buying and EGP 52.15 for selling at Egyptian Gulf Bank and EGP 52.00 for buying and EGP 52.10 for selling at Al Baraka Bank Egypt.
The same rate of EGP 52.00 for buying and EGP 52.10 for selling was recorded at Egyptian Arab Land Bank and Arab African International Bank.
At Faisal Islamic Bank of Egypt and Industrial Development Bank Egypt, the dollar was priced at EGP 51.95 for buying and EGP 52.05 for selling.
Other Banks
The currency was quoted at EGP 51.85 for buying and EGP 51.95 for selling at Arab International Bank and SAIB Bank, while National Bank of Egypt listed it at EGP 51.84 for buying and EGP 51.94 for selling.
At National Bank of Kuwait Egypt and Suez Canal Bank, the dollar was recorded at EGP 51.45 for buying and EGP 51.55 for selling.
Meanwhile, Banque du Caire quoted the dollar at EGP 50.14 for buying and EGP 50.24 for selling, while Al Ahli Bank of Kuwait Egypt and HSBC Egypt recorded EGP 50.11 for buying and EGP 50.21 for selling.
The currency was priced at EGP 50.09 for buying and EGP 50.19 for selling at Export Development Bank of Egypt, Housing and Development Bank Egypt, and First Abu Dhabi Bank Egypt.
The lowest dollar rate was recorded at Abu Dhabi Commercial Bank Egypt and Emirates NBD Egypt, where buying prices stood at EGP 50.05 and EGP 49.99 respectively, while selling prices reached EGP 50.15 and EGP 50.09.
