Thomas Dohmke Launches Entire, a Next-Generation AI-Native Developer Platform, Backed by $60 Million in Seed Funding
Thomas Dohmke, former CEO of GitHub, announced the launch of his new company, Entire, which focuses on building a next-generation software platform designed to enable collaboration between AI-powered agents and human developers.
The company raised USD 60 million in seed funding—one of the largest seed rounds in the developer tools sector—bringing Entire’s valuation to approximately USD 300 million. The round was led by Felicis, with participation from Madrona Venture Group, M12, and Basis Set Ventures, alongside angel investments from prominent technology leaders including Jerry Yang, Olivier Pomel, and Garry Tan.
Alongside the funding announcement, Entire unveiled its first product, “Checkpoints”, a tool designed to capture the working context of AI agents with every Git commit. The product aims to provide clearer visibility into code changes and ensure tighter integration and alignment between human developers and AI systems.
Entire is positioning itself at the forefront of what it calls the “agentic programming era,” where AI systems increasingly contribute to writing, modifying, and managing code. This shift is driving demand for new tools that structure human–AI collaboration while maintaining transparency, accountability, and software quality.
Leveraging Dohmke’s experience leading GitHub during its transition toward AI-powered development tools, Entire aims to establish an early leadership position in the rapidly growing market for AI-enabled developer platforms, as enterprises increasingly seek solutions to manage hybrid teams of human developers and autonomous coding agents.
