US Dollar Declines Against Egyptian Pound, Hits Lowest Selling Rate at EGP 46.88
The US dollar declined against the Egyptian pound during trading on Wednesday, reaching its lowest selling price at EGP 46.88 in Egypt’s foreign exchange market, amid noticeable variations in exchange rates across banks and a broadly downward trend compared to the previous close.
At the lowest price levels, the dollar was recorded at First Abu Dhabi Bank at EGP 46.88 for buying and EGP 46.98 for selling. Meanwhile, it stood at EGP 46.90 for buying and EGP 47.00 for selling at Emirates NBD and Al Baraka Bank.
At similar levels, the United Bank, the Egyptian Arab Land Bank, and Abu Dhabi Commercial Bank quoted the dollar at EGP 46.90 for buying and EGP 47.00 for selling, reflecting varying degrees of decline from the previous session’s closing rates.
At slightly higher levels, the dollar reached EGP 46.92 for buying and EGP 47.02 for selling at MIDBank and Crédit Agricole, while it recorded EGP 46.93 for buying and EGP 47.03 for selling at Suez Canal Bank and Faisal Islamic Bank.
