Google has introduced a major update to its Gmail service with the launch of “AI Inbox”, a feature that leverages artificial intelligence to transform traditional email lists into smart summaries. The feature also provides instant suggestions such as “reschedule meetings” to help users manage busy inboxes more efficiently.

The company began rolling out the feature experimentally for personal Gmail accounts in the United States via web browsers, excluding Workspace accounts for now. At the same time, Google announced that several previously premium or exclusive features will now be available for free to all users, including Help Me Write, personalized suggested replies, and summarization of long email threads.

Google further explained that subscribers to Google One AI Pro and Ultra plans in the United States will receive additional benefits, including advanced grammar checking, search result summaries, and intelligent email retrieval tools.
